New Release!!! An Introduction to… Levert Allison
On the occasion of the 2nd volume of the re -issues series « Southern Sounds », paying tribute to the southern’s « forgotten heroes » of the Rythm & Blues and Soul Music from north-america; E.A.I.Z has selected one of the best « underestimated » singer of the African-American musics from Nashville, Tennessee: A « Roaring Tenor » named Levert Allisson, Ted Jarett’s secret weapon, unfortunately he has been so unfairly unknown!
An Introduction to… Alvin “Shine” Robinson
In order to release this re-issues series on the forgotten southern’s « Rythm & Blues » giants of North america, E.A.L.Z! is about to take care of a great, guitarist and vocalist: Alvin « shine » Robinson from New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. Robinson enjoyed a great place in the 1964 R&B charts thanks to a fine interpretation of Chris Kenner’s tune « Something You Got ». However he only recorded around a dozen of 7 inch in 30 years career.
What a pity!
The Southern Sounds Serie…
For this new project, the idea was in gestation since the birth of the association. Back in the tanks of the forgotten heroes that we consider major in their category/genre (soul/rhythm & blues to this first opus and the series) had low discographic production, and which, oddly, most large world pursues (if not a few ready aficionados a build tens of dollars for a 45 tours).
